National Talent Search Examination – NTSE

NTSE (National Talent Search Examination)

NTSE exam aims at supporting meritorious students in their further studies by awarding scholarship.

It is conducted in two stages- Stage 1 and stage 2

The stage-1 of NTSE is the state level examination. Students who clear stage-1 test appear for the second level examination. Stage -2 is the national level examination and is conducted by NCERT.

Stage 1 is conducted during the first week of November.

Stage 2 is conducted during the second week of May.

Last date of submission of application form is the last week of August.

Scholarship Amount: Scholarship of Rs. 12050 per months for class XI and XII.

Scholarship of Rs. 2000 per month for under Graduates and Post Graduates.

Amount of scholarship for Ph.D. is in accordance with the UGC norms.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Identification of talent comprises two-stage selection process. While the individual State/UT conducts the first stage selection, the second stage selection at the national level is carried out by the NCERT.
